CFL’s Manager – Multimedia and Acting Head Learning Design & Development, Mr. Javed Yusuf represented USP and participated at the 77th Australasian Council on Open, Distance and E-learning (ACODE) Workshop from 4– 5 October 2018. The workshop was hosted by Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.
The theme of the workshop was “The New Higher Education Standards Environment: challenges for premium online learning”. Several keynote presentation were made at the workshop, most notably:
- What’s coming over the horizon? by Professor Beverley Oliver, DVC Education, Deakin University;
- Standards for online learning: Current ASCILITE & ACODE Initiatives by Professor Michael Sankey, Learning Futures, Griffith University;
- Measurable standards and actionable data: Learning analytics and online learning by Professor Gregor Kennedy, PVC Teaching & Learning, Melbourne University; and
- New approaches to credentials: new standards for lifelong learning by Professor Belinda Tynan, DVC Education, RMIT University.
